We are a small, passionate, and knowledgeable team made up of psychologists, counsellors, physicians, facilitators, students, teachers, and certified ADHD coaches. We value collaboration and will do our best to support you, no matter where you are on your journey.

Literacy Programs
Literacy opens the door to greater education, employment, and everyday life opportunities. It is important for our health and social and emotional well-being. It can help parents experience the joy of reading with their children and support their learning at school. CanLearn Society offers literacy programs for children, adults, and families.
Ages: 3+
Wordplay - Free Literacy Program for Kids with Learning Disabilities
This program is designed to help your Grade 1 or 2 child become a confident and engaged reader. Weekly sessions over a period of six weeks and include stories, games, and fun activities with a focus on building phonemic awareness and decoding skills.
Ages: 6-8
Friends and Teen Talk - Free Social-Emotional Learning Program
A fun and engaging social-emotional skills learning program for children and teens. Offers individualized or group sessions for children and teens to learn and practice skills for making friends and handling emotions. The program is offered FREE of charge to residents of the City of Calgary.
Ages: 9-15

Since 1979, CanLearn has been changing the lives of children, youth, and adults living with literacy, learning difficulties, attention, and related mental health challenges across Calgary and the surrounding area.
