Private School for Students with Diagnosed Learning Disabilities (Grade 3-12)

Our Parent & Community Education team bring knowledge, expertise, practical strategies, and humour to our wide range of workshops, both in person and online.

Camp Amicus and Recreation Programs provide fun, experiential education programs focused on social skill development for children and teens with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD ages 8-18. Summer camps include overnight and day camp options.

Children who are diagnosed with a Learning Disability in reading or writing (or suspected of a Learning Disability) benefit from direct and intensive instruction. Read/Write Programs offer evidence-based instruction customized to each student's needs. Programs range in intensity from 60 minutes per day to 3 hours per day. The vast majority of our programs are offered in a one-to-one setting.

Foothills Academy School is a Designated Special Education Private School for students in grades 3 to 12, all of whom have diagnosed Learning Disabilities. Bursary/financial assistance is available.

The Psychological Services and Programs department offers quality, comprehensive psycho-educational assessment, individual and family counselling, and group programming services for children, youth and adults affected by Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD. Note that if you require additional financial assistance for the psychoeducational assessment, you can apply for Fee Reduction through Foothills Academy Society. For some of Foothills Academy's psychological group programs, they can direct bill FSCD.
