What is PDD?

The Government of Alberta's Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program is a voluntary program that provides funding for services to adults with disabilities (18 years old or older) who meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 16 years old or older to apply.
  • Must live in Alberta and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must have a developmental disability from childhood (onset of disability prior to age of 18).

Once you have applied, you will be notified of your eligibility for PDD funding.

PDD pays for support staff to help people with the following:

  • Employment Supports
  • Community Living Supports
  • Community Access Supports
  • Specialized Community Supports
