Deaf and Hear Alberta
ASL Counselling Services
Being Deaf, hard of hearing, or losing your hearing gradually can make life harder. It can affect how you see yourself and how you get along with your family, friends, and coworkers. Sometimes, it can lead to feeling frustrated, alone, and confused. Deaf and hard-of-hearing people face communication challenges and discrimination every day, which can be different from what others go through. Getting mental health support is already tough for people who can hear and speak, and it’s even harder for those who use ASL to communicate. Finding a therapist or counselor who knows ASL is quite rare. Reach out to Deaf and Hear Alberta to book a consultation.
