About this Organization

Providence offers two unique Alberta Education-funded school-based program streams: those based in our six schools across Calgary and those based in approved neighbourhood community preschools and child care programs (our LEARN Program). Providence school-based programs are designed to support children who may not be meeting typical developmental milestones and include early Intervention, preschool, junior kindergarten and kindergarten. To attend our school programs a child must qualify for special education funding (Program Unit Funding - PUF) through Alberta Education. Each child has an Individual Program Plan (IPP) developed by the Providence Learning Team and the parent/guardian. This IPP outlines educational and and therapy goals specific to the child's identified needs.
