Studio C
Studio C is Prospect’s award-winning Collaborative Art Centre; a public studio and gallery that uses art to equip people who face barriers to employment. Through our services, participants gain skills and confidence for employment opportunities. Studio C promotes inclusion and empowers the community. The studio and gallery is open to anyone wanting to express and explore their creative potential. We serve many communities including mental health, disability, Canadian newcomers, LGBTQ youth, seniors, and children.
Ages: 18+
Employment Services for Youth with Disabilities
Prospect provides employment search services to Calgarians between the ages of 15-30 with all types of disabilities. In addition to information resources and assistive technologies, they also offer a variety of employment services including help with searching for a seasonal or part-time job while in school, exploring types of jobs that are available, direct connections with employers, paid work-experience for those who are ready to work 30+ hours/week, help staying at the job, and looking at the education and skills needed for future careers.
Ages: 15-30
The WORX
The WORX provides employment search services to Calgarians with all types of disabilities. In addition to information resources and assistive technologies, The WORX also offers a variety of employment services including: employability assessments, career counselling, education and skill training placement, peer support, employer hiring events, DRES funding, and access to ASL for job search and job interviews. Clients of The WORX additionally have access to a series of Employment Preparation Workshops.
Ages: 18+
Foundational Literacy Program
Prospect’s foundational literacy program for learners who have a developmental disability. Program participants will receive personalized 1-2 hour lessons, up to twice a week, to improve their literacy levels based on their needs and goals. Support may be provided in small groups and learners can also receive an additional 1 hour of one-to-one support.

We work with candidates who have degrees; we also work with people who are experiencing homelessness or experiencing a mental health condition or challenge.
