Borrow an adapted bike through CP Kids and Families. The Adapted Bike Program ensures that children, youth, and young adults with physical disabilities know the simple joy of riding a bike.

Technology and Equipment Funding
Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families helps fund items and recreational activities that directly benefit individuals with cerebral palsy. Funding requests may relate to vehicle modifications, home renovations, or personal equipment such as wheelchairs, adaptive technology, or other items to enhance or aid day-to-day living.

Recreation and Social Programs
Join our recreation and social programs for all different ages and abilities, including music and movement programs, virtual programming, and adapted bike programs.

Equipment Lending Program
We offer a free equipment lending program and a short term rental program to help improve the quality of life for our members. The lending pool gives families access to equipment they may not be able to afford, or access to equipment while they are waiting on items through AADL.

Family Support and Counselling for Parents Caring for Children with Physical Disabilities
Our on staff family support worker and our clinical social worker are here to help you navigate the path of raising a child with a disability. From helping you with FSCD to planning your next adapted home renovation, we’re here to help. Our clinical social worker, Emily Jackson (MSW, RSW) is here to provide counselling to families raising children with disabilities and equip them with the skills to thrive as they journey through parenthood.

Summer Camp for Children with Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disabilities
Our camp is uniquely designed for kids with cerebral palsy and similar neuromotor and physical disabilities. Camps consist of different on-site activities, as well as trips to off-site locations. Each camper is paired with a member of our camp staff to provide support and personal care.

FSCD Eligible
Recreation Funding for Children with Cerebral Palsy
The Cerebral Palsy Kids & Families Adapted Recreation Fee Subsidy Program allows families to apply for a grant for therapeutic or recreational programs (including summer camps) for their child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, up to a maximum amount of $150.

About this Organization

Since 1951, CP Kids & Families has been sharing knowledge and hope to families living with physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy, living in the Calgary area.
